The Round-up Saloon: Celebrate Our Cowboy

Lee Williams Round-up Saloon

Editorial Note: What follows is an official statement from the Round-up SaloonΒ regarding the passing of Lee Williams.

Celebrate Our Cowboy

A β€œCowboy” by definition is a man on horseback who tends cattle or horses. In 2007, a Cowboy by the name of Lee Williams joined The Round-Up Saloon as a permanent staple for all to know and love.

The Round-Up Saloon is heartbroken to announce that Lee passed away from a devastating car accident early Monday morning, February 21st 2022.

From chasing men, dancing in boots, and his fondness for making his LEGENDARY banana pudding, Lee made The Round-Up Saloon a home for so many with his dry-yet-kind humor and his unforgettable guidance. Lee took time to remember your name, and his barbacking skills were awe-inspiring and uniquely amazing; he knew what you needed to get you through your night.

Lee, through his coaching some of the longest employed Cowboys at The Round-Up Saloon, ensured we were set for every busy or slow night to come. Lee, never afraid of a task too big or too small — never hesitant to jump in where needed — remained a team player throughout every challenge.

Long time friend and co-worker, Kirt said, β€œLee was so many things, to so many people.” And that’s true. But he was also β€œour Lee” — this confident, capable, friendly guy with a ready smile on his face that got stuff done.

The Round-Up Family celebrates Lee this Saturday, February 26th at 6 p.m. in the Main Room of The Round-Up Saloon. In his honor, come sing Karaoke, share memories, some Pat Benatar, and his Round-Up Saloon family.

Some may ask, do Cowboys still exist? At The Round-Up Saloon they sure do, and in the hearts of all of us and to many of you, Lee will forever be our Cowboy.
