A Christmas Drag Show at Mr. Misster

We recently wrapped up Christmas with one final drag brunch at Mr. Misster in Oak Lawn. The cast featured some of Dallas’ most popular performers and the audience definitely got into it.

For this brunch, I shot photos almost exclusively with my portrait lens, which gave me some very interesting photos that I am excited to share with everyone!

I recently brought the camera to a festive drag brunch at Mr. Misster bar on Cedar Springs.

It seems like every drag show for the past few weeks was Christmas-themed, which is obviously understandable for December. But I am a definitely excited to see what January has in store (and for Mariah to go back in hibernation).

I did enjoy the Grinch costume though…

Ms. Grinch aside, this Mr. Misster drag brunch had a minimal amount of Christmas-themed numbers, so it was a toot for me.

Emeka Bless at Mr Misster

This Lady Gaga number by Emeka Bless is one of my favorite outfits of the moment. Typically, when queens perform “Rain on Me,” they are vying for the Ariana Grande spot, but I think this Gaga outfit is far more successful than most of the Ariana Grandes out there.

One of the interesting things about this year is experiencing the new drag brunch venues popping up across Dallas.

Jenni P. has definitely taken advantage of the available opportunities and hosts shows both at Mr. Misster in Oak Lawn and at the new Virgin Hotel in the Design District.

In addition to being a drag brunch host, Jenni P. is also an in-demand make-up artist who paints many of the girls.

Jenni is not afraid to book a diverse cast of queens, which keeps her shows fresh. She also is a hilarious foul-mouthed host, which every drag brunch needs.

Jessica Rabbit is a risky costume because so many performers have iconic interpretations of this character — including Dallas legend Erica Andrews.
