We are celebrating our one year anniversary and would like to say thank you!
When Dallas Gay Nightlife launched last December, a lot of people didn’t know what to think of this strange little experiment. We’d like to thank everyone who stuck around for the ride!
During the past year, we:
- Grew DallasGayNightlife.com to become the No. 1 LGBTQ events websites in Texas.
- Launched a successful (65k+) TikTok account with several viral videos, including a video at the Round-up Saloon with 6.4 million views.
- Trusted to be official photographers at many events — from a RuGirl’s meet-and-greet, pop-up drag events, to Texas Latino Pride.
- Had photography featured in traditional media outlets, including a cover photo for the Dallas Voice because we took the last professional-grade photos of the iconic Fantasha.
- Co-sponsored a gay softball team along with the Hidden Door.
- Helped a brand new drag brunch go from a dozen people to sold out within 3 weeks.
- Increased the booking opportunities for several performers featured on the page — including bringing some sickening queens to Dallas from Washington, DC.
- Became the only comprehensive source of North Texas LGBTQ media on Instagram, with 1,000 feed posts of all original content in our first year.
And most importantly, we got to share D-FW’s amazing drag and nightlife scene with our community and the world. One of our favorite things is the thank you messages we get from people who discovered new venues, events and performers through our website and social accounts.
D-FW has truly special gay nightlife, and we are grateful that we get to share it with everyone for the year to come.
